The People’s Project for Social and Climate Justice (TPP) is seeking to hire a Program Manager. The Programs Manager will lead the strategy, coordination, and impact delivery of all programs under The People’s Project. This includes Boys Champions, HOPE for African Children, and the Climate and Social Justice portfolios.

This person will be the heartbeat of program implementation; translating ideas into structured plans, managing execution, tracking results, and driving fundraising efforts of at least $500,000 annually across all initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Program Strategy and Leadership

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of all program areas – Boys Champions, HOPE for African Children, and Climate & Social Justice initiatives.
  • Develop and oversee annual program strategies, work plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Ensure programs are aligned with TPP’s five-year strategic vision and reflect the organization’s values of care, accountability, and dignity.
  • Build and maintain cross-program systems for reporting, communication, and learning.
  • Strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and impact measurement across all programs.

Fundraising and Partnerships

  • Lead resource mobilization efforts for all TPP programs, targeting at least $500,000 annually in grants, partnerships, and sponsorships.
  • Develop funding proposals, concept notes, and reports in collaboration with the Partnerships and Communications teams.
  • Build and sustain relationships with foundations, bilateral agencies, corporate partners, and community institutions.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and strategic collaborations that expand TPP’s reach and sustainability.

Communications and Storytelling

  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to document and amplify program impact through stories, data, and visuals.
  • Represent The People’s Project at external events, conferences, and media engagements.
  • Ensure program narratives consistently reflect TPP’s brand message: Care is strength. Justice is love in action.

Team Management and Culture

  • Supervise program officers, facilitators, and volunteers across Boys Champions, HOPE, and Climate Justice units.
  • Conduct regular team planning, feedback sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Build a culture of empathy, discipline, innovation, and shared accountability.
  • Provide mentorship to emerging leaders and fellows within program structures.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

  • Oversee program data collection, analysis, and impact documentation.
  • Ensure timely submission of program reports to donors and the Executive Director.
  • Lead program learning reviews and use insights to inform future strategy.
  • Collaborate with the MERL and Research teams to strengthen evidence-driven advocacy.

Salary

  • Salary: ₦600,000 – ₦700,000 monthly (₦7.2 million – ₦8.4 million annually), depending on experience.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, Public Policy, Gender Studies, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience managing multi-sector development programs.
  • Proven record of raising funds, building partnerships, and managing complex donor projects.
  • Strong organizational, budgeting, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Deep understanding of gender, education, youth empowerment, and climate justice in African contexts.
  • Ability to travel within Nigeria and across partner countries as needed.
