Applications are open for the Save the Children’s Immunisation Innovation Accelerator 2025. The Save the Children’s Immunisation Accelerator supports local innovators to tackle barriers to immunisation for children in Nigeria and Ethiopia. The Immunisation Accelerator supports and nurtures the further development and evidencing of promising and transferable innovations that can address the challenge of vaccinating low-dose and zero-dose children. It is open to both early-stage stage ideas and those with more evidence.

With up to $100,000 available per award, they are looking to support innovations that address supply and/or demand-side barriers, including products, services, approaches, or interventions that involve systemic, behavioral, or educational change.

Funding

  • They are offering up to $100,000 in funding per project, along with comprehensive support to test promising innovations in real-world settings across Ethiopia and Nigeria.

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding, applicants must fall into one of the following categories:

  • A not-for-profit organization / civil society organisation (CSO)
  • A charity or non-government organisation (NGO)
  • An academic institution
  • A research and technology organization (RTO)
  • A business of any size

All of the above entities must:

  • Be a legally registered entity in Nigeria or Ethiopia.
  • Conduct their research and/or operations in Nigeria or Ethiopia.
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record in these regions.

Application

You must submit your application using the online form. You cannot save your application, so you will need to complete the application in one sitting. They recommend you draft your answers to the application questions in a word document or similar format and when you are ready to submit your answers copy and paste them into the application form.
