Applications are open for the Salzburg Global Program Internship 2026. As an integral part of the program team, your role will be key to the successful running of Salzburg Global’s programs. You will be responsible for supporting their preparation, administration, and implementation. The team will rely on your organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

You will have unique opportunities to broaden your knowledge across their Pillars (Peace & Justice, Education, Culture, Health, and Finance & Governance). This internship is also a springboard for relationship-building with thought-leaders and change-makers worldwide. Where possible, interns will be assigned projects directly connected to their specific skills and interests.

Duties

  • Researching relevant program topics, partners, and participants, including compiling biographies
  • Preparing program materials before each session
  • Ensuring the smooth running of sessions by providing event management and technical support (e.g., recording lectures, controlling the sound system, managing microphones and presentation visuals, etc.)
  • Providing reliable operational support to the Program Team and the participants throughout the sessions
  • Note-taking during online meetings and sessions
  • Providing database support
  • Providing administrative support, including updating internal documents, printing, copying, and mailing

The internships are full-time, for a maximum period of three months. Although the position is not paid, they will provide the successful candidate with:

Eligibility

  • You have recently completed or are in the process of completing a Bachelor’s degree with a demonstrable interest in one of Salzburg Global’s program areas.
  • You have excellent English writing and communication skills, including editing.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • You are enthusiastic about our mission.
  • You have a can-do attitude, can multitask, are proactive, and willing to work flexible hours according to the running program’s needs
  • You thrive in culturally and professionally diverse environments.

Note: German language skills are not required.
