Applications are open to become a DOT Global Youth Leadership Advisory Board Member 2025. Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) is seeking seven committed and proactive young leaders from Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Côte d’Ivoire, Jordan, and Lebanon to join the Global Youth Leadership Advisory Board. GYLAB is a youth-led initiative that provides strategic advice and guidance, fosters collaborative design for greater impact, and amplifies the voices of youth in the communities where DOT operates across Africa and the Middle East.
Through this role, participants will enhance their skills in board governance, presentation, cross-cultural collaboration, strategic thinking, and problem analysis and research, while contributing to initiatives that drive meaningful change within DOT’s global network.

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in co-designing DOT’s present and future programs by collaborating with fellow youth, to shape DOT’s initiatives for increased program relevance and impact on a global scale.
- Share youth perspectives and feedback on DOT’s programming, particularly at the country and community levels, to help improve programs for youth and women.
- Provide strategic counsel and guidance, act as a bridge between youth and DOT’s leadership to align organizational strategies with the perspectives of youth.
- Be a DOT Ambassador, actively engaging peers, championing DOT initiatives, amplifying DOT’s mission, garnering additional support and participation through digital platforms.

To apply, you must:
- Must be a #DOTYouth Alumni from any DOT program (e.g., Youth Leader, Digital Champion/Ambassador, Community Leader, Climate Champion, Social Entrepreneur, Street Teams).
- Must be 25 – 35 years old.
- Must be a citizen and resident of one of the following countries: Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Jordan or Lebanon.
- Demonstrate commitment to DOT’s mission and vision.
- Bring experience in social entrepreneurship, innovation, business, ICT, or youth leadership, or digital empowerment.
- Have previous engagement with DOT and a solid understanding of its programs in your country.
- Must be able to commit at least 7 hours per month for meetings and related activities (virtual and face-to-face).
- Proficiency in English.
- Confident in public speaking and social media, skilled at building networks, and known for creative problem-solving in youth leadership and digital innovation.
- Have a track record of youth advocacy and promoting inclusive, diverse participation of underrepresented voices.
- Show a commitment to lifelong learning, collaboration, and continuous personal growth.
