Deadline: December 12, 2025
Applications for the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center Amujae Initiative 2026 are now open. The Amujae Initiative is the flagship program of the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development (EJS Center). It aims to inspire and prepare African women to unapologetically take on and excel in high‐level public leadership roles. The program aims to increase women’s meaningful representation in public leadership by enhancing their skills, strengthening networks, and shaping public perception of women leaders.
The Amujae Initiative is more than a program; it’s a movement. Launched in March 2020, their mission is clear: to inspire and equip Africa’s most talented women to rise unapologetically to the highest levels of public leadership and to bring others along with them.

Benefits
- When you become an Amujae Leader, you don’t just gain access to world-class mentorship—you gain allies for life. Their mentors include former Heads of State, international leaders, and top-tier experts who have walked the path before you. This is the only program in the world where African women leaders receive direct guidance from former female heads of state. Together, they are building a multi-generational network that empowers, supports, and elevates women in public leadership.
