Applications are open for the Vector Institute Applied Internship Program 2026. This program offers students and recent graduates the chance to collaborate with leading Canadian organizations, applying their knowledge to high-impact projects that advance artificial intelligence and its practical use across industries.
Vector is seeking the next wave of innovators to join its cohort of interns who are passionate about making real-world impact. Six cutting-edge roles are available in this intake:

- Applied Machine Learning: Develop reusable software to apply and scale research breakthroughs in machine learning.
- Applied AI Program Design and Delivery: Support AI education and projects, which enable Vector sponsors and partners to develop, deploy and scale AI applications.
- Marketing & CRM Operations Intern: Support data-driven marketing initiatives and shape customer experiences in the world of artificial intelligence at Vector, and gain experience with marketing tools and analytics.
- Data Analytics: Manage, analyze, and translate data into actionable insights to support workforce development and research excellence.
- Program Development & Stakeholder Outreach: Build professional development programming and resources to help AI researchers grow and succeed in the Canadian AI ecosystem, while supporting Vector’s stakeholder relations and grantmaking activities
- Event Technologist: Drive improvements to Vector’s event registration processes through platform optimization, audience segmentation strategies, and streamlined registration experiences.

- The Applied AI Internships are 16 to 32 weeks in length and run during the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms. Internships can be full-time or part-time and pay $25 an hour.
Eligibility
- You are a self-identified Black or Indigenous (Indigenous ancestry or heritage – First Nations (status or non-status), Métis or Inuit) student or recent grad;
- You are in the second year or higher, studying at a university or college;
- You are studying at a Canadian university or college;
- You are studying in a STEM program (Science, Technology/Computer Science, Engineering, Math) or adjacent disciplines such as Business, Economics or Life Sciences;
- You meet the additional qualifications listed in each job description.
