Applications are open for The Habitat Foundation Grants 2026. The Habitat Foundation Grants are awarded to individuals and organisations dedicated to biodiversity conservation and sustainability across these five pillars, which form the focus of the programme: Conservation, Research, Education, Sustainability, and Training.

THF Grants provide an opportunity for environmental practitioners, academicians, students, researchers, community members and trainers to advance their work in the above-mentioned areas. The goal is to strengthen species protection, enhance protected area management, and build capacity for sustainability and environmental education in all its forms.

Grant

  • The size of the grant ranges from RM15,000 to RM50,000.

Eligibility

  • They only support projects that are carried out in Malaysia.
  • They do not support purely academic or theoretical studies with no clear pathway to practical application to conservation or community benefit.
  • Special consideration is given to initiatives proposed within the Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve.
