Applications are open for the Bayer Foundation Fellowship 2025 for Apprentices & Early Career Professionals. They aim to bring diverse perspectives to science by offering opportunities to talented early career individuals without an academic background. This fellowship can fund internships, research projects, personal development, and support for young parents pursuing further training.

This fellowship is established in memory of Hermann Strenger, former Chairman of the Board of Management at Bayer.

Benefits

  • Applicants are eligible for up to €10,000 in funding and can undertake fellowships for up to twelve months.

Eligibility

  • This fellowship is for apprentices, dual students or early career professionals without a university degree and less than five years of employment.
  • Applicants must pursue their current apprenticeship or profession in a German-speaking country (Germany, Austria or Switzerland).
  • They particularly encourage applications from parents with children and people with German as a second language. Time taken for parental leave or other exceptional circumstances does not contribute to the five-year period.
