No matter what Michael Strahan and his ex wife Jean Muggli may wrap up under the tree, safe to say their daughter Isabella Strahan has already received her greatest gift this year.

Eight months after the 20-year-old University of Southern California student was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a fast-growing malignant brain tumor, she endured her last chemotherapy treatment at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center in North Carolina this past June and was declared officially cancer-free after a successful MRI a month later.

“I feel like I’ve grown in many ways,” Isabella told Town & Country this October, one year after a series of headaches, nausea and the inability to walk straight led her to the doctor for a thorough checkup that turned into a months-long battle for her life. “I’m super-grateful for walking and talking again. You don’t think of the things you can do until you live without them.”
