Are you energized by connecting with diverse groups of people and inspiring them to take meaningful action? Join the voter engagement team as one of ten Campus Engagement Leaders. You’ll work directly on college and university campuses, organizing and attending events to inspire students to vote. You’ll be the face of this project, speaking to thousands of students to encourage them to register to vote. This fast-paced role requires excellent time management and execution skills to meet tight deadlines and manage a busy workload.
As Campus Engagement Leader, you will:

- Attend a one-day in-person training session in Toronto on Wednesday, February 19. Travel and accommodation will be provided for those travelling from outside the GTHA.
- Plan and lead campus voter engagement events, including staffing booths alongside another Campus Engagement Leader and Voting Ambassadors.
- Manage event logistics and track student participation metrics.
- Work with Voting Ambassadors (current students) to ensure outreach consistency and on-brand messaging.
- Provide feedback to improve engagement strategies and tactics.
- Represent the project professionally and remain non-partisan.
Salary
- $230 per day, approximately $6,900 over the contract period

- Applicant should have an extremely confident and outgoing personality and love for speaking with new people.
- Experience volunteering on a campaign or doing community engagement work.
- Skills in mentoring junior staff and adapting to unexpected challenges.
- Familiarity with Ontario university campuses (a strong connection to at least one is an asset).
- Passion for voter engagement and the ability to work non-partisanly.
- Access to a car and the ability to travel daily between campuses is essential. Mileage is reimbursed at $0.57 per kilometre.
- Capacity to stand for several hours and lift up to 30 pounds as part of event setup and execution.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset for East Ontario and North Ontario roles.
